Sergio Mendoza 

April 18th, 1971 - April 21st, 2024

With deepest sorrow, we announce that at age 53, Sergio Mendoza left this earth on April 21st of 2024 in Yuma, AZ to join some loved ones up in heaven. 

On April 18th of 1971, Rafael and Adela Mendoza were blessed with their son Sergio Mendoza in Santa Ana, CA. Sergio was a son, brother, dad, grandpa, and so much more. He attended Santa Ana High School, was employed by the City of Yuma and Quechan Casino Resort. Sergio enjoyed his free time playing and coaching softball, watching the Los Angeles Dodgers, riding his baby (his Harley Davidson motorcycle), but what he loved most of all was spending time with his family and friends.

Sergio will be greatly missed by his spouse; Angela (Magallanes) Mendoza, his kids; Sergio Mendoza Jr., Kristina Magallanes-Rivera, Yesenia Mendoza, Dominic Vega, Ashley Torres, Reyna Magallanes, Jesika Mendoza and his grandchildren; Aaliyah Rivera, Javier Rivera Jr, Monica Contreras, Dariel Mendoza, Emiliano Garcia, Ezekiel Contreras, Santiago Garcia and many more family and friends

Those who knew and spent time with Sergio will have many words to describe him, but just a few would consist of him being hardworking, loving, loyal, and goofy. Sergio had a loving heart and a light so bright he would light up any dark room. The love he gave and the laughter he shared will forever be cherished and never forgotten. 

Viewing services will be held on Sunday April 28th, 2024 at Yuma Mortuary from 5 pm to 9 pm. The rosary will begin at 7 pm. Holy Mass will be Monday April 29th, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Mission beginning at 10 am. The burial will be following mass and held at Johnson Mortuary. The celebration of life will be held at the Eagles Clubhouse from 12 pm to 4 pm.
