Christopher Eugene Clement, 78, passed away in Yuma AZ on December 20th while holding the hand of his greatest love, his wife of 26 years.
After graduating high school in Westboro, MO, Chris went on to serve in the Navy on the USS Ticonderoga while serving in the Vietnam War. After falling in love with the weather, Chris settled in southern CA where he married his first wife and had 4 children.
For the next three decades Chris would coach youth football leagues and high school football teams. After joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints in 2007, he taught many youth Sunday school classes and as a result has influenced the lives of many young people.
In 1993, Chris met his forever partner, Peggy Thornton. Chris and Peggy lived a beautiful life working and traveling the United States together. Chris and Peggy settled in Yuma AZ where they loved watching the sun set and counting the blooms in their front garden.
Chris is survived by his precious wife Peggy, his children and a full legacy of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and the hundreds of individuals he influenced.
Memorial services will be held on January 5th, 2024 at 8451 E 36th St.. Yuma AZ 85365 at 4pm. Please join us in honoring a mountain of a man.
