Edward Johnson

March 16, 1959 ~ April 29, 2020 (age 61)

Obituary

Ed was born in Detroit, MI to Harold and Cynthia Johnson. He served in the US Navy from
1977 to 1981 and was awarded the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Navy Expeditionary
Medal while serving on the USS Vancouver (LPD 2). Ed completed Aviation Firefighting
School in October 1979.
Ed spent 20+ years living off the grid until he received a HUD-VASH voucher in 2015. He was
one of a kind with a sarcastic wit and off color sense of humor. Ed had a giving nature and
caring heart although he would not want to admit that.
To know Ed was to love Ed. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Rest in love, Ed.

Irish Blessing (Nautical)
May the tide rise to meet you.
May the wind always fill your sails
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your decks.
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
