Gary Dain, 78, was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 24, 1945, and died in Yuma, Arizona on October 8, 2023.
After serving in the military overseas in Okinawa Japan, he began his 55 year career at Lakeside Industries in Lacey, WA as a heavy equipment and plant operator, where he made many life-long friends.
He enjoyed spending time fishing, boating, landscaping, working in his yard, and helping friends and neighbors with outdoor projects. In retirement he participated in RV camping clubs, quadding, traveling, and took many cruise adventures with his wife. His generosity was widespread in his community and he was loved by many.
Gary is survived by his Wife: Linda Dain; Sons: Mike Dain, Darrin Hunter, and Daughter: Carrie Dain; Daughter-in-law: Linda Dain; Grandchildren: Nichole and Michelle Dain, and Emily Hunter; Brothers: Harold and Jerry Dain; Sister: Linda Saner; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life for a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Yuma Humane Society.
