In Loving Memory of Ila Rae Hopper

Ila Rae Hopper, 53, passed away on June 22, 2026. She was born on April 15, 1973, to Eileen Menta and Calvin Hopper Sr.

Ila was known for her humor, strength, free spirit, and love for her family and friends. She enjoyed making people laugh and was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Ila brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew her.

She graduated from Yuma Beauty School and worked as a cosmetologist in several salons. She later worked at Paradise Casino and the Q Hotel, where she made many friends and was known for her hard work.

Ila is survived by her children, Johanna, Chelsea, and Deion; her grandchildren, Ziggy, Ariel, and Lola; her sisters and brother; her best friend, Terri; and many other loving family members.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Austin, Harry, and Jarrett, and her uncles, Randall and Gary Menta.

Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Yuma Mortuary, followed by tribal services at the Quechan Big House from 5:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Ila will be deeply missed and always remembered for her love, laughter, and spirit.
