James Gilbert Obituary

James Gilbert, 70, of Richmond, Indiana born to Marvin Edwin and Luella May Gilbert succumbed to cancer at
University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona on January 22, 2020.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Graciela, his sisters Luella Kaznak and Ethel Peoples, his children
Ben, Edwin, Lisa, Annie, and Brian. Along with 16 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. James was a loving
father, brother, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone.
James loved sports, especially football, his favorite team was the Arizona Cardinals. He and his wife owned their
business in pool cleaning and restoration, but he was forced to give up his career he loved due to his health. He
spent his free time watching sports games on tv. He enjoyed action and western movies and was always looking
forward to a date night once a week with his wife, to their favorite place at the Quechan Casino where they enjoyed a
nice meal, each other’s company and a shot at the jackpot.
A special thank you to the people at University Medical Center for their loving care and support during his final days
and sincere gratitude towards Yuma Mortuary & Crematory for being very accommodating and understanding during
this difficult time. The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern
and kindness shown to them during this time of bereavement.
