Jose (“Joseito”) Elias Pastor passed away on May 10, 2020. He is survived by his sons, Joseph, Bradlee and Brandon, his daughter, Maleah, and one granddaughter, as well as his father, Jose Pastor, his mother, Daira Birmingham, his sisters, Karla Bathrick and Marisa Theodore, one niece and one nephew, and many great friends.
Jose was born on September 23, 1972 in Panama City, Panama to Jose Pastor, Sr. and Daira Lee. During his formative years, Jose lived in Panama, Florida, Japan and graduated from Clovis High School in Clovis, New Mexico. Jose was a veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS Denver (LPD 9) as a maintenance mechanic in the Air Department. He traveled with the Navy to Mogadishu, Somalia and other international ports. In addition to the Navy, Jose obtained his Class A Truck Drivers License and worked for companies such as Coca Cola, Sysco, UPS, and Ryder.
Jose loved his saltwater fish tank, his dog Max, and his four cats. He grew up cheering for the Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins. Jose also had a personal passion for cooking and always wanted to become a chef.
Jose’s family will miss him for his loving and compassionate nature, ability to remain positive, and for his sense of humor. All will remember him for his kindness, honesty, and always being there for others. To know Joseito was to love Joseito. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
