July 3, 1943 - August 9, 2023 Leta Annette Wolfe, age 80, of Somerton, AZ, passed away on August 9, 2023. She was born on July 3, 1943 in Downey, Ca. Leta was a loving wife to George Wolfe, whom she reunited with in 1991. They were high school sweethearts at Yuma High and married on August 21, 1993, in San Diego. After retiring in 2005, they settled in Yuma, AZ.
Leta graduated Yuma High in 1960 and later graduated from Arizona State University in 1965 with a degree in German Language. She started her career as a teacher and later became a travel agent. Leta worked for AAA in California and, most recently, with Tour West in Yuma, Arizona.
Leta had a passion for cooking gourmet meals for her loved ones. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing games, spending time with her husband and dog, and visiting family and friends.
Leta is survived by her husband, George Wolfe; her son, Kevin Minke (Kim); her stepson, George Wolfe Jr. (Barbara); her stepdaughters, Tammy Wolfe, Leta Ann Wolfe, and Diane Uonites (Russ); her grandchildren, Justin Minke, Jaclyn Wolfe (Aaron), Dallas Uonites (Ryan), Jonathan Wolfe, Josh Wolfe (Samantha), Bailey Uonites, Nicolas Wolfe Basso, and her beloved dog, Niko.
Leta was also survived by numerous cousins. Leta was also survived by numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Kreutzer; her mother, Vera Kreutzer; and her previous husband, Bob Kovar.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yuma Mortuary, located at 775 S. 5th Ave, Yuma, AZ. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 26th, at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, located at 505 S. Ave B, Yuma, AZ. Interment will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, located at 1415 S. First Ave, Yuma, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Leta's memory to the Humane Society of Yuma or the African Violet and Orchid Society.
