Martha Webb-Cartier Obituary

Martha Ann Webb-Cartier, a lifelong resident of Yuma, AZ, passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born on March 12, 1942, in Yuma, AZ, where she built a life centered on style, friendship, and connections.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and LaVerne Webb; sister, Francis Lynn Webb; brother, Roger Curtis Webb; husband, Michael Cartier; son, Robert Dean Power; and grandson, Cody Iorns.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Vernon (Billy) Eidson, and daughter, Deborah Power; granddaughter, Nicole Villegas (Justin); and her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Power; and extended family, Stacy Cartier, Pamela Clark, Christopher Cartier, Kyle Cartier, Asher Clark, Kelsey, Melissa Villegas, and Michael Villegas Jr.

Martha attended Yuma High School and graduated from the Yuma School of Beauty. Around the same time, she married Bill Eidson and welcomed son Billy. Later, she married Jack Power, with whom she had two children, Robert and Deborah. She lived her life in Yuma, where she shared many years and meaningful trips to California and Nevada with her husband, Mike Cartier.

Martha embraced a spirit of adventure, traveling throughout the Western U.S., Southeast Asia, and Europe.

Martha spent her life as a cosmetologist, a profession she truly loved. She took pride in helping others look and feel their best, forming lasting friendships with many of her clients along the way.

Outside of her career, Martha found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved shopping and spending time visiting with her friends. She was known for her generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand or do something kind for others.

Martha also had a vibrant sense of style and personality. In her younger years, she was known for her tall, signature hairstyles, often joked about as "the taller the hair, the closer to Jesus," and her eye-catching earrings, which became part of her unique charm.

She had a deep love for her cats and dogs, who were truly part of her everyday life. Her dogs went everywhere with her, and those closest to her would often joke that she might have preferred their company to any other, reflecting the special bond she shared with them.

She will be remembered for vibrancy, her sense of humor, her spirit, and the care she shared with those around her. Martha's presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Following a life marked by generosity, Martha has chosen to make a final gift to the University of Arizona’s Willed Body Program to further education and medical research. In accordance with her wishes, no immediate services will be held.
