Michael Neal Hoy

Neal Hoy of Yuma, Arizona passed away March 4, 2025. He was 74 years old. Never
one to sit still, Neal was always building, fixing and tinkering. Neal worked as a soil
conservationist for the USDA for 30 years in Yuma County. When asked, he would
always say his grandchildren were his greatest achievement. Neal is preceded in death
by his mother and father Barbara and Lee Dean Hoy, brother Robert Hoy and wife Janet
(Fleischmann) Hoy. He is survived by his daughters Sarah Akins and Susan Cleveland
(Matthew Cleveland) and his six grandchildren Ethan, Abigail and Heather Akins and
Maisie, Henry and Lucy Cleveland. A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, March
11 th at 6PM at Trinity United Methodist Church (3030 S 8 th Ave. Yuma, Az). Please dress
casual, Neal would not want it any other way.
