Michael Meaney

MEANEY, Michael Joseph 80 of Yuma, AZ, formerly Everett, MA passed away at his home on Saturday June 17th, 2023 with his wife of 41 years Grace (Kemp) and his daughter Kristina by his side. Mike was a Boston native, born and raised in Dorchester. He'd spent most of his adult life living in Lynn and Everett before moving to Yuma, AZ in 2018. Michael had worked in his younger years as a sheetmetal worker and a truck driver before finding his true calling when he became a firefighter in the City of Lynn, MA. After retirement from his duties of public service, he continued working with the general public in Boston and surrounding areas for many years as an independent cab driver. 

Michael is survived by his wife Grace, sister Carol Graham, niece Cheryl Rivera(Graham) and her husband Miguel and son Matthew, nephew Scott Graham, daughter Michelle Allen and husband Jon(athan), daughter Kristina Hembrough and husband Richard, son Peter Meaney and wife Tara(Duffy).

As a loving "Papa" to his grandchildren, he is also survived by Jonathan, Alyssa, Katelyn, Abigail, George, James, Maya, Madeline & Greyson.

Services will be held in private amongst the family following his cremation.
