Pablo Ramirez Obituary

In Loving Memory of Pablo Rodolfo Ramirez
Pablo Rodolfo Ramirez passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 68.
Pablo was born in Honduras, Central America, and came to Yuma, Arizona, in 1962 when he was five years old.
At the time, he did not speak English. He learned the language by going to school, listening closely, and picking
it up from his classmates and friends. With patience and determination, he adapted to a new country and
culture. That early season of learning shaped the quiet strength he carried throughout his life.
Family meant everything to Pablo. His parents, Leonor and Rodolfo, were at the heart of his world. He had a
beautiful and loving relationship with his mother, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday. He loved
spending time with her. They would often sit together at home, listening to old Latin music and sharing
stories. Those simple moments meant a great deal to him.
His nephews, Eugene Ocasio and Anthony Ocasio, called him “Uncle Paul,” and he treasured that role. Being
an uncle brought him joy, and he valued the connection he shared with them.
Pablo spent many years working as a truck driver, something he genuinely loved. The open road gave him a
sense of purpose and independence. He was known for being careful and considerate, always mindful of
others while driving. He took pride in doing his job well.
In his younger years, Pablo wrestled in high school and college. The discipline and determination he learned
during those years stayed with him. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and muscle magazines in earlier days,
and he loved reading, especially books about history.
Although he did not travel often, Sedona, Arizona, held a special place in his heart. He felt connected to nature
there. The quiet beauty of the red rocks brought him peace and a sense of calm.
Pablo was easy to get along with. He had a warm presence that made people feel comfortable. Once you
connected with him, you felt his kindness. He had a simple outlook on life and often said, “I just need what I
need to get by every day.”
Later in life, Pablo reconnected with his faith. He returned to church and found comfort and peace in that
renewed foundation. His faith became an important part of his final season.
Pablo is survived by his parents, Leonor Ramirez and Rodolfo Ramirez; his sisters, Ligia Brenneman and Celina
Ramirez; his brother, Juan Carlos Lugo; and his beloved nephews, Eugene Ocasio and Anthony Ocasio.
He will be remembered for his humility, warmth, faith, and the steady way he lived his life.
Service information will be announced at a later date.
