Robert John “Big Bob” Schrenk, age 80, passed away October 7, 2025, in Yuma, Arizona.
Born on March 29, 1945, in Madison, Wisconsin. Robert was the son of Al & Susan Schrenk. He graduated from East High School in Madison in 1963 and soon began a long and dedicated career with Chrysler. Starting out in the body shop and eventually moving to the stamping plant. Robert devoted three decades to the company before retiring.
After retirement, Robert embraced his love for travel, exploring new places and enjoying life on the road. Eventually settling in Yuma, he continued working full time at Foothills RV Repair. There he not only applied his mechanical skills but also built lasting friendships that enriched his later years.
Robert had a lifelong passion for cars-rebuilding them, racing, and watching NASCAR were among his favorite pass times. His enthusiasm for motorsports was mated only by his love of family. One of the most cherished moments of his life came during his 80th birthday celebration when he met his great granddaughter for the first time and was surrounded by loved ones.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Lisa Rehberg (Mike) and Lori Schrenk; grandchildren Brooke Edwards (Meghan) and Nicholas Edwards (Mya); great-grandchildren Kaisley and Haiden Edwards; and brother Steve Schrenk.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Al and Susan Schrenk; wife Correen Schrenk; brothers Jerome and Dennis Schrenk; and sisters Sylvia and Mary.
A man who lived fully- through hard work, travel, friendship, and family-Robert leaves behind a legacy of resilience and connection. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
