Robert Stingl Obituary

Rob passed away at Yuma Regional Medical Center after a brief aggressive battle with cancer.  Rob's last employment at Whitetail Inn in St. Germain, WI was on and off for about 18 years.  He leased the kitchen at Sister's Saloon with his wife Heidi for 5 years where they were very successful at providing high quality food at a reasonable price.  Rob loved cooking and took so much pride in his quality of food.

Rob enlisted in the Army reserves in 1982 and in 1984 he received Outstanding Individual Performance Award during training at Fort McCoy.  Rob also received Certificate of Achievement during this time for outstanding performance as a cook for establishing and operating a kitchen for 104 men each day his unit had the highest morale and designated best dining facility.

In 1987 during operation "Blazing Trails" he served as an ambassador to the people of Honduras where he also received a Certificate of Recognition for his vital role in reserving liberty and defending freedom.  Rob was Honorably Discharged from the Armed Forces in 1996.

Rob definitely loved cooking, whether working or at home cooking on the grill, which he loved.  He also loved fishing, boating, his fur baby rescues, "Lukas", "Izzy" and "Meow Meow".  He also loved walking in the woods and adventures on the golf cart.  He also enjoyed playing pool, he and his wife ran the pool league while they were at Sister's Saloon.

Rob is survived by his wife Heidi, his 3 furbabies, his sister Jaque Wood (Georgia), Daughter, Dawn Stingl, 2 granddaughters, Kapri & Marli; special friends, Anthony Chretins, Jim & Virginia Ferlitshe, Diane & Jessica.

Rob is preceded in death by his parents Bernice Johnson, Warren Stingl, Step father Ossie Johnson; Brother, Richard Stingl; Grandparents, John and Anna Benthaler.  Rob was loved more than words can be expressed by his wife Heidi and his furbabies Lukas, Izzy & Meow Meow.
