Ron Voss, 55, passed away on June 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, friendship,
and unwavering devotion to his family.
Ron dedicated 32 years of his life to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office, where he served his
community with honor, integrity, and compassion. Throughout his career, he earned the respect
of his colleagues and the gratitude of countless people whose lives he touched through his
commitment to public service.
Above all else, Ron was a family man. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Voss; his
children, Briana Voss of San Diego, CA and Ryan Voss of Carlsbad, NM; and his stepson,
Ronnie Mann of Yuma, AZ. He is also survived by his mother, Lori Mitchell of Yuma, AZ and
stepmom Darlene Voss of Yuma, AZ ; his siblings, Robyn Voss of Yuma, AZ, Renee King (Bill
King) of Vail, AZ, Bobby Mitchell (Jamie Mitchell) of Tucson, AZ, Brendon Voss (Jessica Voss)
of Del Rio, TX, Shannon Voss Mackenzie-Deere of Phoenix, AZ, and Cameron Voss of
Albuquerque, NM.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Bill Voss; his stepfather, Bob Mitchell; his uncle,
Harvey Voss; his aunt, Bonnie Pease; and his beloved grandparents.
When he was not working, Ron enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, playing darts, hanging
with friends, firing up the barbecue, and making memories with the people he loved. Whether
gathered around a grill, casting a line into the water, or sharing stories and laughter with friends,
Ron had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued.
Those who knew Ron knew a man of character. There is not a person who knew him who would
say anything other than that Ron was a truly good man. He was dependable, generous, kind-
hearted, and always willing to help others. His smile, sense of humor, and genuine concern for
those around him left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Ron's passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues.
Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on through the countless lives he
touched, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
A life well lived. A man well loved. A legacy that will never be forgotten.
