Rudy Geronimo Obituary

Rudy Geronimo, passed away on January 4, 2021 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 53.
He was born in San Luis R.C. Sonora, Mexico on October 29, 1967 to Irma Ramirez and Dionicio Geronimo.
Rudy grew up in Wellton, AZ. He attended Antelope High School, where he enjoyed playing football and
wrestling. After high school, in 1987, he joined the United State Marine Corps. His Military Occupational
Specialties (MOS) were Engineer Equipment Mechanic and Combat Engineer. His duties as a United States
Marine carried him into several combat tours, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Desert Storm and in
Mogadishu Somalia. Rudy was awarded several decorations to include a Combat Action Ribbon and Kuwait
Liberation Medal. He was proud to be an American Combat Veteran. In 1994 he was Honorably discharged
from the United States Marines Corps and began to work alongside his mother at the family restaurant,
Geronimo’s, in Wellton, AZ. Rudy took over the business in 2000 and ran it alongside his wife, Fabiola
(Fabbie) Geronimo, up until a month before his passing.
Rudy and Fabbie married on July 17, 1990 and made Yuma, AZ their home. Together they had four children:
Melissa, Andrew, Nathan, and Jayden. Rudy enjoyed traveling and camping with his family. He always made
sure his children enjoyed the many adventures he loved. Whether it was snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing,
hunting, shooting, boating, drag racing and off roading. He enjoyed spending time in his garage or around a
fire, always working on a project, playing his music and enjoying his beer. Motorcycle riding became one of his
passions. He enjoyed numerous bike runs and trips out of town with his many Harley rider friends and family.
Living life to the fullest, with adventures, laughs and good times. That’s what he was all about.
Throughout the years, Rudy made many friends. If he did not know someone, he would greet them with a
friendly conversation. His personality and laugh attracted people to him. His presence always lit up a room and
his contagious unique laugh could be heard from blocks away.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Fabbie, his four children who were the world to him: Melissa (Brian), Andrew
(Alina), Nathan and Jayden. As well as his grandchildren whom he adored: Eli, Ava, Adelynn, and Baby
Geronimo. His loving mother Irma. His brothers and sisters: Israel (Felicitas), Dennis, Dan (Jeanne), Alex
(Maria), Ana (Alfonso) and Veronica (Arsenio AKA Ruby). Numerous nieces and nephews that he loved as his
