Sybil Diana Illingworth, 80, of Winterhaven, California, passed away on March 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Diana was a devoted homemaker whose hands and heart helped shape generations. She was known for her love of country music
and gospel songs, her enjoyment of crossword puzzles, and the many games she liked to play on her tablet. Above all, she
treasured conversations with family and friends, catching up on life, sharing stories, and always finding reasons to laugh.
Diana was born on May 10, 1945, at Ft. Yuma Indian Hospital to Virgie Lee Mulford. She grew up surrounded by stong family
ties that helped shape the person she became. She later met and married Ronald W. Illingworth, whom she often said looked
"like a movie star" the first time she saw him, a memory she cherished and shared often.
Together they raised seven children, filing their home with the lively and beautiful chaos that only a large family can
bring. Their home was always full of laughter, stories and love. When the grandchildren arrived, Diana's home became a
second home to them as well. Her door and arms were always open, offering comfort, warm meals, familiar smells, and
unconditional love.
Diana cherished family vacations and the photographs that captured those special moments. Those memories became treasured
pieces of the life she built with the people she loved most. Her warmth, humor, and steady presence made her the center
of many family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virgie Lee Mulford; her grandparents, Warren Mulford and Belle Link;
her uncle, Elwood Link; her aunt, Rosita (Cachora) Collins; her sister, Lolita (Pedro) Bell; her cousins, Douglas Osborne,
Velma Townsend and Vivian Menta; her beloved husband, Ronald W. Illingworth; and her son, Rodney W. Illingworth.
Diana is survived by her sons Ronald W. Illingworth Jr. (Lori), Ricky W. Illingworth, Richard W. Illingworth (Priscilla),
and Roy W. Illingworth (Georgia); and her daughters Denise L. Illingworth and Dena L. Illingworth.
She is also survivied by 17 grandchildren: Krystle, Danielle (Daniel), Shannyn, Christobal (Jiji), Gilbert (Nayeli),
Kacee, Xavier, Rodney, Nina, Natus, Naomi, Hayden, Raven, Patience (Samantha), Destiny, Noah, and Roy.
Diana leaves behind 23 great-grandchildren: Luis, Keenan, Elara, Nova, Celeste, Rowan, Stella, Jackson, Luke, Emily Rae,
Jade, Mateo, Dimitrio, Mia, Ava, Ean, Harmony, Melody, Lyric, Jasper, Rudy, Atlas and Ezekiel.
She is also survived by her siblings, Amil Pedro and Georgiann Collins; Cousins Norman Osborne and Gordon Osborne;
nieces Kimberly, Rhodesia, and Melanie Bell, Charlene Townsend, Angela Menta and Christina Garcia; and nephews
Kenneth Billy, Lance Menta, and Travis Townsend.
Diana's legacy of love, laughter and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
