Victoria “Vicky” Carlos
Victoria “Vicky” Martinez Carlos passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in Yuma, A at the age of 77 surrounded by family. Vicky was born in Yuma, AZ on August 8, 1948, to Cerilo “Gordo” and Eloise “Vita” Martinez.
Victoria is proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Jose “Chuqui” Duarte, and her husband Santiago “Jimmy” Yanez Carlos.
Vicky is survived by her sons Vincete, Santiago A., Martin and Anthony, siblings Rita (Steve) Martinez, Louise “Baby” Martinez, her 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Vicky was loved by everyone and enjoyed dancing with her husband, listening to her favorite songs especially the ones sung by her man “Little Joe Y Familia”, going to the casino, and drinking her favorite Margarita drinks.
Vicky attended San Pasqual and graduated from Yuma, High in 1966. Even though she graduated a Criminal, she will always be a Warrior at heart. Vicky also attended The Yuma School of Beauty and got her license as a beautician. In 1968, Vicky and Jimmy got married and had their 4 boys. She worked at Anthonys as a kid, she worked at her dad’s bars (Turf Club and Yuma Buffet) helping clean.
A Wake will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm at Yuma Mortuary, 775 S. 5th Ave, Yuma, AZ with the reading of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, 2:30 pm at Immaculate Conception Church, 505 S. Ave B, Yuma, AZ 85364 followed by a Celebration of Life Potluck at the American Legion Post 19, 2575 S. Virginia Dr., Yuma, AZ 4:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Tony Carlos, Alexis Rotella, Anthony C. Carlos, Aiden Carlos, Austin Carlos and grandson in law Roman Aispuro.
